Advanced Training

Live Interactive Online Zoom Classes

Prerequisite: Comedy 101 Class

It’s not enough to write great jokes, you have to know how to connect with every audience and perform to them and for them.

The 201 class begins with a review of everything you learned in your 101 class so you are ready to move forward and start working with your new skills.  We always recommend enrolling immediately upon completion of your 101 class. There is no value in going off to “work out a few bugs in an open mic”!  Get straight onto your 201 and let your instructors help you become professional.

Why? Because we’re going to show you how to use those skills and techniques that we just taught you more expertly, and how to combine them with additional performing skills.

The 101 course, How to Build a Stand Up Comedy Routine is the prerequisite to Greg Dean’s 201 class. Greg Dean’s System is a two-class 12-week program in total.  To help people with time constraints and scheduling issues, the class is broken into two separate segments, the 101 and the 201.

No matter how advanced of a comedian a person may be, they’ll need the information taught in the 101 class or they will not do well in the 201 class and will slow down other students as they burn the midnight oil trying to catch up and learn the various techniques, terminology and skills taught in the 101 class.

Slack Community

Our instructors provide important class information via a special slack channel for the class you signed up for. Just prior to your class start date, you will receive an invitation to slack if you are not already a member of our slack community.  Please accept the invitation and download the app.  Slack works on desktops, laptops or mobile devices.  If you have any trouble, reach out to [email protected]
