The Level 2 Writing a Show & Performing Online meets every Friday afternoon online via zoom for the first 5 weeks.  In the sixth and final week, you’ll perform live online. Date & time for the performance to be announced.

Prerequisites:

You must have minimally completed Greg Dean’s Stand Up Comedy Class: Level 1: How to Build a Stand Up Comedy Routine.

• Reading & Interacting with the Audience in Front of You
• Tags & Tag Timing
• What to Do When You Go Blank
• And So Much More!

Group Schedule & Location

• Class Begins on May 12, 2023 4-7 pm Pacific Time and the first five weeks are at the Santa Monica Playhouse
• Each class is 3 hours long
• Week 6: Live Performance Online – date and time for the live performance to be announced.

Instructor

Gayla Johnson. As a 20-year veteran instructor, and a Producer of the Comedy Classes, she is certified in Dean’s 101 & 201 Comedy Techniques & Events.  She is a talented actress and Stand-up Comedian, appearing on Comedy Central, Comics Unleashed, and Showtime Special, “Fierce Funny Women, Headlining at Comedy Store Improv, Ice House Comedy Club and Laugh Factory Club. She toured London and Montreal comedy clubs. She also has toured many West Coast Comedy Clubs, such as Laugh Out Loud, Rooster T. Feathers, Laughs Unlimited, and Santa Barbara Comedy Club.
