The Ongoing Joke Writing Group meets every Thursday night on Zoom. This is a subscription-based program. You’ll be automatically billed every 4 weeks from your start date. This group is an open enrollment group, meaning you can start at any time. Your 4-week auto payment renewal date will be based on your start date.
Prerequisites:
You must have completed either (or both) of Greg Dean’s Level 1 and Level 2 Stand Up Comedy Classes.
Join Greg every Thursday night on Zoom to work on your stand up comedy script. Work out the bugs, make your stories funnier, add more jokes, etc. Get feedback from fellow comedians, and get personal one-on-one time with Greg!
You’ll Improve on Using These Skills and Techniques in Your Routines
- Writing Jokes, Tags, and Punching Up Your Routine
- Working Out the Kinks and Bugs
- Editing, Cutting, Rewriting Jokes
- Writing/Rewriting or Adding Funny Stories
- Adding Jokes to Your Funny Stories
Ultimately you’ll be working to make your routine funnier and increase your laughs per minute!

Subscription Membership
This subscription-based program is automatically charged to your card every 4 weeks from your start date. If you miss a week, there is no credit given or make-up classes. You are buying your spot in the group, whether or not you attend.
Note: You can cancel at any time, however since we have people waiting to join, if you can give us a week’s notice then we can notify the next person on the wait list in time for them to get registered. If you want to join in the future, put your name on the waiting list.

Additional Registration Documents & Zoom Links
You will receive 2 to 3 days before your group start date a packet of documents from Docusign. Please sign these documents before your first writing group. Once we receive the documents, a second email will be sent to you that gives the essential information you need to arrive at the group session. Your zoom link will be in this email.
Schedule
The Ongoing Joke Writing Group meets every Thursday night at 7:00 pm on ZOOM. It is a 3-hour session, where you will work with Greg and also with other people in the group.
Instructors
Prerequisites
The Building Routines Basic class is the prerequisite. Greg Dean’s method is taught in that basic class and is required information to work on your script in this ongoing joke writing group.
No matter how advanced of a comedian a person may be, they’ll need the information taught in the Building Routines class because everything that you’ll do with your script depends on know those fundamental principles.

Just prior to your class start date, you will receive an invitation to slack if you are not already a member of our slack community.
